Why:
During the past several months, officials at Fairfield University and the City of Bridgeport have worked collaboratively on a number of initiatives that build on economic development priorities of the City and also enhance the educational opportunities for Fairfield University students.
At the Wednesday, January 23rd event, the City and the University will come together to announce and celebrate a new internship initiative in which more than a dozen Fairfield students will be working as interns in various City departments and programs.
On hand at the event will be Mayor Bill Finch, University President Jeffrey P. von Arx, S.J., student interns, as well as other University and City Officials.
